The association was founded on May 14, 2000 as a non-profit organisation at the University of Augsburg. Aims of the organisation are:

• Supporting the University of Augsburg concerning Education and Research
• Enhancing contacts between the University of Augsburg, the industry and the graduates of MBA "Corporate Management"
• Enhancing a constant exchange of experiences among its members and with all socially interested groups
• Promoting personal contacts among its members
• Implementation of science-related events and further education and advanced training measures with and for graduates and students of the MBA program "Corporate Management"
• Supporting the University of Augsburg in establishing and maintaining contacts with personalities and facilities that are wiling and able to support the University of Augsburg and its facilities
• Establishing and maintaining international contacts, especially with other institutions, alumni associations and other contacts form the field of business and science.
